LISA GRAFF-MARSH

San Diego, CA, USA
Feb 11, 2025

I have been a private practice therapist since February 1992. The client population that comes through my office are individuals and couples that are struggling in various ways. My passion is to help people get in touch with their authentic selves, access core emotions, become more present in their lives, more connected, in touch and able to identify the sensations that happen inside one's body. This happens through compassion, connection, empathy, curiosity and the realization you do not have to struggle alone. This process helps the client to live a fuller, more satisfying productive life. If you have the idea that therapy is a sign of weakness, that could not be further from the truth. Asking for help does not indicate weakness or incompetence. It shows an advanced degree of honesty and intelligence. Therapy is a non-judgmental, compassionate meeting between client and therapist. Over time a trusting , safe relationship gets established. I have been particularly drawn to several modalities that I have come to integrate into my working with clients. They are Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, KAP, PHRI, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Contemporary Psychoanalysis, and Mindfulness.

Elizabeth Shaw

New Orleans, LA, USA
Feb 6, 2025

My work as a therapist began with my own search for and exploration of meaning, insight and growth. I work in an organic way so that the unique personality, both conscious and unconscious, of each client can come to the forefront. Oftentimes clients bring dreams, creative work and other material that allows for unknown elements to come into the light of our work together. Utilizing mindfulness in my psychoanalytically oriented practice creates a warm yet neutral, compassionate and non judgmental environment. My goal is to offer a framework, space and relationship in which my clients can explore themselves, find lasting relief from the symptoms that brought them to therapy and deepen their satisfaction with their lives and relationships. I work with individuals struggling with a broad range of issues. I invite clients to explore their past, their present and aspects of their personality and experience that tend to be more hidden. Growth in our work together allows my clients a sense of authenticity, flexibility and depth.
